An Ordinance establishing the grade of Mt. Vernon Avenue
from the South line of Fourth street to Base Line street in the
City of San Bernardino.
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino
do ordain as follows:
SECTION I.
That the grade of Mt. Vernon Avenue from the South line
of Fourth Street to Base Line Street is hereby established in
accordance with the following elevations and grades:
At the center of the roadway at the North end of the Mt.
Vernon Avenue viaduct the grade shall be 1099.49; at the
intersection of the center lines of Mt. Vernon Avenue and the
South curb line of Fourth street produced, the grade shall be
1098.29; at the intersection of the center lines of Mt Vernon
Avenue and Fourth Street the grade shall be 1096.73; at the
intersection of the center line of Mt. Vernon Avenue with the
North property line of Fourth Street produced the grade shall
be 1095.5
At the intersection of the West property line of Mt. Vernon
Avenue with the South curb line of Fourth Street the grade shall
be 1098.0; at the intersection of the West property line of
Mt. Vernon Avenue with the center line of Fourth street the
grade sr...all be 1096.0; at a point 20 feet East of' the center
line of Mt. Vernon Avenue and on the South curb line of Fourth
Street produced the grade shall be 1098.0.
At the North-west corner of the intersection of Mt. Vernon
Avenue and Fourth street the grade shall be 1095.5 at the North-
east corner of the intersection of Mt. Vernon Avenue and Fourth
street the grade shall be 1095.5.

At a point in the West line of Mt. Vernon Avenue 57.5 feet
North of the North line of Fourth street the grade shall be
1094.0; at a point in the East line of Mt. Vernon Avenue 57.5
feet North of the North line of Fourth street the grade shall
be 1093.5.
At the South-west corner of the intersection of Kingman
Avenue and Mt. Vernon Avenue the grade shall be 1096.3; at the
North-west corner of the intersection of said Kingman Avenue
and Mt. Vernon Avenue the grade shall be 1096.7; at the South-
east corner of the inter~ection of said Kingman Avenue and
Mt. Vernon Avenue the grade shall be 1095.8; at the lTorth-east
corner of the intersection of said Kingman Avenue and Mt. Vernon
Avenue the grade shall be l096.2~
At the south-west corner of the intersection of Fifth
Street and Ut. Vernon Avenue the grade elml1 be 1099.6; at
the North-west corner of the intersection of said Fifth street
and Mt. Vernon Avenue the grade shall be 1100.0; at the South-
east corner of the intersection of said Fifth Street and Mt.
Vernon Avenue the grade shall be 1099.1; at the North-east

Avenue the grade shall be 1099.5.
At the south-west corner of the intersection of Spruce
street and ut. Vernon Avenue the grade shall be 1104.0; at
the North-west corner of the intersection of said Spruce street
and Mt. Vernon Avenue the grade shall be 1104.5; at the South-
east corner of the intersection of said Spruce street and Mt.
Vernon Avenue the grade shall be 1103.7; at the North-east
corner of the intersection of said Spruce street and Mt. Vernon
Avenue the grade shall be 1104.0.
At the South-west corner of the intersection of Sixth
street and Mt. Vernon Avenue the grade shall be 1108.2; at the

the South-east corner of the intersection of said Eighth street
and Mt. Vernon Avenue the grade shall be 1119.9; at the
North-east corner of the intersection of said Eighth street
and Mt. Vernon Avenue the grade shall be 1120.4.
At the south-west corner of the intersection of Ninth
street and Mt. Vernon Avenue the grade shall be 1125.6; at

SECTION II.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed.
SECTIon III.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after thirty days after its passage and approval.
SECTION IV.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Ordinance and cause the same to be published for three con-
secutive days in The Evening Index.
