FOR ~HE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF
SAN BERNARDI1TO.
WHEREAS ) the pub1ic interests and necessity of
the City of san Bernardino and the inhabitants thereof
demand and require t.he purchase of a. piece of reaJ. llroperty
in the North"Western portion of said City and the const~ct-
ion ther~n of a munic$pa1 building to be used as a fire
hall ... for the purpose of x housing a hose cart and
horses therefor and such further fire appar~tus and
paraphernaJ.ia as is necessary to properly equip a fire
depatrtment ; and J
WDRBAS J said City does not now own or control. a
lot of land suitable or proper or which can legally be
used for the purpose aforesaid j and
WHEREAS Lot Twenty-four of Block Two of the
Keystone ll'ract is a proper and suitable Lot, both in
size and location for the purposes aboTe referred to j
and
WHEREAS the owner thereof, to wit, perIie
Parkhurst has offered to sell said Lot to said City for the
sum of $205.00 which said sum is a fair t rl!.asonable and
just sum to be paid for said Lot j and
WHERJilAS, said per1ie parkhurst has executed a deed
for said Lot to the City of san Bernardino a.n:d has
deposited the same with the city Clerk o~ said City to be
deliTered and recorded upon the IieJIlIIO payment of said
SUB

Now, Therefore the Mayor and Common Council cf said
City of San Bernardino do ordain as follows:

the sum of $205.00 , and that upon the going into
effect of this ordinance , that a warrant be drawn and
executed in faTor of said ~erlie Parkhurst for said sum,
and that the swme be deliTered to said perlle Parkhurst,
proTiding said "erlie parkhurst presents a proper certif!@
cate of title tQ be approTed by the City Attorney show~
ing the title to said Lot to be free and clear of all
defects, lmc~aDCe8 and taxes and upon a Terified
claim for said.sum being presented and allowed ·
Section II. The Mayo l' .of' ~tl'i"e City of ~an Ber~
nardino is hereby authorized and directed to accept in
the name and on behalf of said City the deed for said
Lot and to baTe the same duly recorded in the office of the
county Recorder ·
section III. This ordinance shall go into effect
and be in force ~t7X from and after thirty (30) days
after its adOption and approTal.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
appro Tal of this orfinance and cause the same to be
published for ~ consecutiTe days in the
