I 011 SAN _NARDl....o - R.QI&~T FOR COUNCIL M:"d)N STAFF REPORT One of the conditions of approval for Rockwell International calls for revising the existing striping of the intersection of Tippecanoe at Cooley to accommodate the increased traffic demand. Therefore, a striping plan that adds a left-turn pocket on Cooley has been submitted to the City. To implement this striping plan, it is necessary to pro- hibit parking on both sides of Cooley Avenue between Tippecanoe Avenue and a pOint approximately 100 feet west of Sunnyside Avenue. Cooley Avenue has ~ street width of 44 feet. A 12 foot two-way left turn lane 1s proposed with two 16 foot driving lanes. The minimum standard width for parking lanes is 17 feet. Since the adjacent developments on Cooley Avenue have abundant off-street parking facilities, Engineering st~ff concurs with the striping plan proposal and recommends that the subsequent "No Parking Any Time" restriction on Cooley Avenue, between Tippecanoe Avenue and a pOint approximately 100 feet west of Sunnyside Avenue,be approved. 10-11-88 75-0264 .....1 ~'l _,1 _I ,..
