June, 1986 Allocation of $44,050 from the 1986/87 COBG Program,
approved for Phase I of handicap accessibility at
City parks.
06-01-87 Plans approved and authorization granted to advertise
for bids.
10-05-87 Finding made that provision of handicap accessibility
needed for health & safety reasons.
11-16-87 Bid received on 10-22-87, in the amount of $61,733.50
rejected, and authorization granted to re-advertise
for bids.
05-16-88 Transfer of $663.00 from Account No. 241-361-57201 to
No. 121-544-57522 approved.
05-16-88 Resolution No. 88-154 adopted awarding contract for the
low bid price of $40,712.58.
I~ecommended motion:
That the work performed by the Contractor for construction
of handicap accessibility for Perris Hill and Blair Park,
per Plan No. 7226, be approved; and that final payment be
authorized as the expiration of the lien period.

STAFF REPORT
All work was satisfactorily completed as of 9-29-88.
Contract Change Order No. One deleted a handrail that was
deemed unnecessary for a cost savings of $1,000, and reversed the
hinges on the handicap restroom stalls at Blair Park for a cost of
$150, for a net decrease in contract price of $850, from $40,712.58
to $39,862.58.
The actual final contract price is $39,862.58. We recommend
that the work be approved and accepted, and that final payment be
authorized at the expiration of the lien period.
