Synopsis of Previous Council action:
07-22-85 Res. No. 85-284 adopted establishing Assessment Dist. No. 956.
06-02-86 -- Res. No. 86-210 adopted awarding a contract to J & R Land-
scaping for Assessment District No. 956 for the low bid
price of $59,652.
06-01-87 -- Res. No. 87-178 adopted awarding a contract to J & R Land-
scaping for Assessment District No. 956 for the low bid
price of $64,417.
06-06-88 -- Res. No. 88-178 adopted awarding a contract to Cherokee
Landscape Services for Assessment District No. 956 for the
low bid price of $59,996.00.
Recommended motion:
That Change Order No. One to the contract with Cherokee
Landscape Services for the maintenance of landscaping in
portions of Airport Drive, per Plan No. 6244, be approved
authorizing the Contractor to include additional landscape
maintenance for a net increase in contract price of
$15,260.00; from $59,996.00 to $75,256.00.

STAFF REPORT
In order to further enhance the appearance and over-all
quality of the landscaping within the Tri-City Complex (A.D. 956),
it has become necessary to add the following items of work to the
contract:
1. Weekly edging and 1 i ne trimming $ 460 per month
( i n lieu of bi-weekly)
2 . Weekly mowing of drainage ditch along - $ 980 per month
1-10 (additional item of work)
3. MonthJy maintenance along San Timoteo - $ 200 per month
Creek (Additional item of work)
4. One-time clean-up of San Timoteo Creek- $ 500 L.S.
(Additional item of work)
The landscaping maintenance contractor has agreed to per-
form the above items of additional work for the stated costs. The
total cost for the remaining 9 months in the contract period is
$15,260.00.
Funds necessary to cover the costs incurred for Change
Order No.1 will be charged to the account number for the assess-
ment district and reimbursed through special assessments on the
parcels.
Tri-City Corporate Centre is aware of these additional
items of work, and have agreed to the need for the extra work and
the increase in their assessments.
We recommend that Change Order No. One be approved. Change
Order No. One will be in effect from 10-01-88 to 6-30-89.
