The Resolution, original- ly approved by the Mayor and Council in May 1987, authorized a temporary parking lease of 165 spaces for the Sun Company in order to accommodate their parking requirements during the expansion of their facility. The Sun Company has purchased property at 401 Fourth Street which currently provides approximately 75 parking spaces for their employees. As such, they have requested a like reduction in the number of spaces leased from the city. The Sun Company has also requested that the term of the agreement be extended for a six month period as the expansion of their facility has not yet been completed. The original terms were eighteen months with a termination date of November 15, 1988. The attached amendment will extend the term to May 15, 1989. Adoption of the form motion is recommended. However, our lease expires November 15, 1988, which prompts this letter to you requesting a six-month extension. Please accept our thanks for your consideration and assistance in this matter.
