Army Corps of Engineers to connect to the Twin Creek Channel. An application has been submitted for the required permit. Issuance of a permit normally takes about 90 days from submittal of an application. One of our six positions of Construction Inspector is vacant. The five currently employed are stretched to their limit with the public works and private development projects now underway. Therefore, advertising this project will have to be deferred until some projects are completed and/or the vacant position is filled. We recommend that the plans be approved, and authorization granted to advertise for bids when a permit is received from the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers and sufficient construction engineering personnel are available. 10-19-88 75-0264
