Hi 11 crest Park Anpnrf=. Itpm I\ln ~~ CIT't OF SAN BERNARDlh" - REQUE~ ( FOR COUNCIL ACT.~N TRANSFER OF $36,270 FROM PATTON PARK DEVELOPMENT PROJECT TO HILLCREST PARK STAFF REPORT REHABILITATION PROJECT The Patton Park Development project is not ready for contracting out and will not be ready until approximately 6-8 months from now, assuming that the project is approved by the Mayor and Common Council. Funds are being forecasted each year for the development which will take place in phases. Presently there is a total of $691,540 earmarked for the project, of which $36,270 is from the 1986 Bond Act. Because this project is not ready to move forward, it is requested that the $36,270 in Bond Act funds be transferred to the Hillcrest Park rehabilitation project so that this park can be completed in its entirety when the Construction Contract is awarded. This project has been bid and has come in with a low bid of $115,569.28. The transfer of the $36,270 to the project should cover the Construction Contract and any contingencies, and if approved for awarding the Contract, the project will be completed by the first of 1989. With the transfer of funds, the Hillcrest project will have the following budget: $ 50,000 45,000 36,270 $131,270 1984 State Park Bond Act 1988/89 City Park Construction Funds 1986 State Park Bond Act The project costs will be: $115,569 15,701 $131,270 Construction Contract Contingencies (including City engineering cost for plans, bidding and inspections) TOTAL It is recommended that this transfer of funds be approved. NOTE: Patton Park Project will be reimbursed by next year's allocation of Park Construction fees. 10/21/88 75-0264
