STAFF REPORT
The department secretary position of Senior Secretary and the
position of Account Clerk III (Payroll), in the Finance De-
partment, were requested by the Department Head to be changed
from General to Confidential positions. The incumbents in
these positions assist in the compiling and typing of infor-
mation used in salary negotiations and other confidential and
sensitive matters. The confidential status will enable the
incumbents to more readily perform their duties. The cost to
change these two positions from General to Confidential will
be approximately $4800 per year.
The Account Clerk III (Payroll) classification must be moved
from the General unit to Confidential unit. The Senior
Secretary classification is currently in the Confidential
unit and requires no movement.
