The City Clerk and City Engineer were authorized to proceed to
initiate proceedings for the formation of an Assess. Distr. for
this area under the provisions of the 1913/15 Act.
11-23-87
The Ci ty Clerk and City Engi neer were authori zed to expand the
scope of the District by adding certain work on Palm Avenue.
Recommended motion:
That the City Engi neer and Ci ty Clerk are authori zed to proceed wi th expandi ng
the scope of Assessment District No. 985 by including the construction of sewer
facilities in Industrial Parkway between Palm Avenue and the Cable Creek Flood
Control Channel.

STAFF REPORT
Letters of petition have been received by this office for the installation of
curbs, gutters, paving and street lights in portions of Industrial Parkway,
Southeasterly of Palm Avenue and the signatures affixed to the letters were
checked and found to represent 90.86% of the area of the property to be assessed
for the proposed improvement.
On October 6, 1987, evidence of these letters of petition was submitted to your
Honorable Body and the Ci ty Clerk and Ci ty Engi neer were authori zed to proceed
with initiating proceedings for the proposed assessment district under the
provisions of the 1913/15 Act.
On November 10, 1987 a letter of peti tion was received to change the scope of
the District to include certain improvements along Palm Avenue between the
Railroad right of way and Industrial Parkway. This letter was from the owner of
the property i nvol ved who wi 11 solely be assessed for those improvements. On
November 23,1987, evidence of this letter of petition was submitted to your
Honorable Body and the Ci ty Clerk and Ci ty Engi neer were authori zed to proceed
with expanding the scope of the District to include these improvements.
Through November 4, 1988, letters of peti ti on have again been recei ved by thi s
office to expand the scope of the District to include the installation of
sanatary sewer facilities in Industrial Parkway between Palm Avenue and the
Cable Creek Flood Control Channel. The signatures affixed to the letters have
been checked and found to represent 76.72% of the area of the property to be
assessed for the proposed improvement.
This office has no problem with the request and therefore recommends that the
new improvements be included in the proposed district to be assessed against the
owners who benefit thereby.
