The City has capita grant Act of 1988. districts. received an allocation of $447,000 under the provlslons of the per program of the California Wildlife, Coastal and Park Land Conservation Funds have been allocated to eligible cities, counties and special The Department staff reviewed projects listed in the City Capital Improvement Program and based on current priorities, selected the projects as listed on the attached Resolution and Applications. These projects have been discussed and approved at the Regular Meeting of the Parks and Recreation Commission on November 17, 1988. Applications with project descriptions are attached for your review along with the required resolution for approval of the projects and for appointing the Director of Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department as agent for the City to complete all necessary actions and documents required for receiving funds and completing the projects. It is recommended that the project applications and resolution be approved. Justification for Placement on the Supplemental Agenda The selection of projects for the 1988 Bond Act required review of CIP and discussion of project priorities with other City staff and the Park and Recreation Commission. There are other documents to be completed once the projects are approved by Mayor and Council. It is necessary that the projects be approved at the December 5th meeting so that all project forms and documents may be processed and forwarded to be in Sacramento by January 13, 1989.
