The proposed purchase is for playground equipment for Perris Hill Park to be
utilized in daily operations by the Parks & Recreation Department.
At the request of the department, appropri ate speci fi cati ons were prepared,
published and furnished to area suppliers. Bids were publicly opened and
declared on November 17, 1988. The following is a summary of Bids received.

Ten (10) vendors of this commodity were solicited. Four (4) responded, three
(3) with no bids. One (1) of the bids was valid.
Specifications as bid have been reviewed with John Kramer, Recreation
Supervi sor who concur that the Bi d of Walt Ranking and Associ ates meets
specifi cati ons and requi rements. It is therefore recommended that the Bi d be
accepted for contract. The equipment funding is in the 1988/189 budget.

RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO A BID TO WALT RANKIN AND
ASSOCIATES FOR THE FURNISHING AND DELIVERY OF PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT FOR PERRIS
HILL PARK, TO BE UTILIZED BY THE PARK AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT IN ACCORDANCE
WITH BID SPECIFICATION F-89-14.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Walt Rankin and Associates is the lowest and best
responsible bidder for the furnishing and delivery of playground equipment
for Perris Hill Park in accordance with Bid Specification F-89-14 for the
total amount of $19,771.02; pursuant to this determination, the Purchasing
Agent is hereby authorized and directed to issue a purchase order for said
playground equipment for Perris Hill Park to said lowest and best responsible
bidder; such award shall only be effective upon the issuance of an agreement
by the Purchasing Agent; and all other quotations therefor are hereby
rejected.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by
the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a
meeting thereof, held on the
