STAFF REPORT
The Oak Street Bridge over Warm Creek, just west of
Mayfield Avenue, has recently been replaced with a box culvert.
Installation of this box culvert necessitates the installation of
a stop sign on Mayfield Avenue for southbound traffic, due to
limited visibility at this intersection.
The plans for construction of the box culvert direct the
Contractor to install this stop sign. However, authorization is
needed for this traffic control facility.
All costs are included in the contract price.
We recommend that the stop sign be approved.

2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 2482 ENTITLED, IN PART, "A RESOLUTION.
3 DESIGNATING CERTAIN STREET INTERSECTIONS WHERE A STOP IS
REQUIRED. . .," AND AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION OF A STOP SIGN
4 ON MAYFIELD AVENUE AT ITS INTERSECTION WITH OAK STREET.
5 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. Resolution No. 2482, which designates certain
street intersections where a stop is required, Section One, is
amended by adding thereto Subsection (35.11) to read as follows:
(35.11) For the purpose of stopping traffic entering Oak
Street at its intersection with the following streets:
Stoddard Avenue
Mayfield Avenue
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
