That the City Engineer and City Clerk are authorized to proceed with initiating
proceedings for the establishment of an assessment district under the provisions
of Chapter 12.90 of the San Bernardino Muncipal Code and that the City Engineer
is directed to prepare an Engineer's Report for the proposed Maintenance of
Landscaping in portions of the South Side of Mill Street generally between Macy
Street and a point approximately 985 feet Westerly thereof. in the City of San
Bernardino.

STAFF REPORT
A petition has been received by this office requesting the formation of an
assessment district for the maintenance of landscaping along the South side of
Mill Street generally between Macy Street and a point approximately 985 Westerly
thereof, which borders Tentative Tract No. 13457. This petition is the result
of a requirement by the City for the Developer to establish the district. The
assessment will include maintenance of landscaping, energy costs, and
administrative costs. The sigriitures affixed to the referenced petition have
been checked and found to represent the owners of 100 percent of the area of
the property lying within the proposed boundaries of the district to be assessed
for the proposed maintenance.
The developer will be required to up-front the cost of the proceedings for
establishment of the district.
