ORDINANCE AMENDING MUNICIPAL CODE SUB SECTION B, SECTION 13.22.070, TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL EXCEPTIONS TO THE REQUIREMENT THAT DEVELOPMENTS BE REQUIRED TO CONNECT TO THE CITY SEWER SYSTEM - The Committee recommended approval of the ordinance with one change on page 2, line 2. The Committee added "environmental" between the words "normal and review". The sentence will read "Permits for construction of septic tanks will be subject to the normal environmental review and approval process for building permits." This ordinance will be on the January 3, 1989 Agenda. 2. PROTECTION OF VIEW IN FOOTHILL AREA - Item con- tinued. The Committee requested that Planning coordinate with necessary departments to address all the issues involved, prepare an issue paper and present it to the Committee on January 19. After review, the Committee will recommend that it be forwarded to the CAC for inclusion in the General Plan. 3. CEMETERY COMMISSION - Item continued. The Committee agreed that the Commission should continue to exist but under different rules. The city Attorney's office will provide an ordinance allowing for city-wide selection of commissioners (wouldn't have to be in a particular ward, but appointed and answering to a particular Councilmember). Meeting times would be established by the Commission. The ordinance will be brought back to Committee the second meeting in January. Additionally, the Committee recommended that the area around the cemetery that could be used for expansion be identified as Public Facility to the Planning Department for inclusion in the General Plan as soon as possible.
