Synopsis of Previous Council action:
05-03-82 Resolution No. 82-191 adopted approving final map, accepting
dedications, and authorizing execution of Agreement.
06-07-82 Resolution No. 82-233 adopted approving final map, accepting
dedications and authorizing execution of Agreement.
12-17-84 Resolution No. 84-540 adopted approving final map, accepting
dedications and authorizing execution of Agreement.
12-21-87 Petition for old Meyers Road to be re-opened referred to
Traffic Safety Advisory Committee for review and recommendation.
03-07-88 Recommendation from Traffic Safety Advisory Committee that
old Meyers Road not be re-opened for traffic accepted and
affirmed.
Recommended motion:
That Plan No. 7090 for the vacation of Meyers
Road, West of Little League Drive, be approved
and that the City Engineer and the City Clerk
be authorized to proceed.

STAFF REPORT
The portion of Meyer's Road proposed for vacation, was dedicated for Road
purposes in 1932. In May of 1982, Tract No. 11118 was recorded, and the new
Meyer's Road was dedicated on the map of that Tract, and was stipulated on
the the map of said Tract that the existing Meyer's Road would be vacated by
a seperate action in the future.
Since the dedication of new Meyer's Road, the old Meyer's Road has been
closed to vehicular access. The alignment of the old Meyer's Road is not in
accordance with current standards and bringing it to an acceptable level
would be very expensive.
Due to the substandard conditions that currently exist on old Meyer's Road,
it is recommended that a finding be made that the vacation of this portion of
t~eyer's Road would be in the interest of the public health and safety, and
that the City Engineer and the City Clerk be authorized to proceed with the
proposed vacation.
