Recommended motion:
That Plan No. 7426 for the vacation of a portion of that Northeast alley East of "I"
Street. West of Inlnd Center Drive is approved and that the City Engineer and the City
Clerk are authorized to proceed.

STAFF REPORT
A request was received by this office to vacate a portion of that certain
Northeast alley located East of "1" Street and West of Inland Center Drive,
from the owner who adjoins the portion to be vacated relative to a
deve 1 opmen t. T his reque st rep re sen ts 50% of tho se ow ners who ad j oi n the
street. The peti ti oner has deposited the requi red $200.00, whi ch represents
one-half of the total fee of $400.00. The remaining 5200.00 will be due after
the investigative proceedings.
This alley is an unpaved alley that is not maintained by the city. The
property on the West is owned by the petitioner, and is currently
undeveloped. The property on the East is owned by Southern Pacific Railroad.
This alley doesn't appear to serve any public interest and is terminated on
the Northeast by the freeway onramp.
All department heads of the City, and Utility Companies will be notified
about the proposed vacation for their comments.
We therefore recommend that the attached Plan No. 7426 be approved and that
authorization be given to proceed with the proposed vacation.
