Synopsis of Previous Council action:
June, 1986 Allocation of $145,500 approved in 1986/87 CDBG
Budget.
04-20-87 Plans approved and authorization granted to advertise
for bids.
09-08-87
Resolution No. 87-312 adopted, awarding a contract
for the low bid price of $121,663.00.
Recommended motion:
That the work performed by the Contractor, for the installation of
street lights on Mt. Vernon Avenue, from 9th Street to 21st Street
per Plan No. 7232, be approved and accepted; and that final payment
be authorized at the expiration of the lien period.

STAFF REPORT
All work under this contract was satisfactorily complete
as of 3-01-88.
The completion was delayed by a utility service installa-
tion, and a light pole knock-down by a vehicle during the testing
of the system. These delays were not attributed to the Contractor,
and he replaced the knocked down pole at his expense.
The actual final contract price is $121,663.00, which is
also the low bid price.
We recommend that the work be approved and accepted, and
that final payment be authorized at the expiration of the lien
period.
