STAFF REPORT
On March 1, 1988, staff received a demolition assistance request
from Mrs. Ramona Lujan for property located at 908 North Mt. Vernon
Avenue, San Bernardino.
The building had previously been inspected by the Building and
Safety Department and recommended for demolition. In keeping with
the CDBG Demolition POlicy, Mrs. Lujan was referred to Community
Development to seek demolition assistance because she receives
$246.00 per month in S.S.I. payments and the need for demolition of
the structure is evident.
On March 17, 1988 the Community Development citizen Advisory
Committee considered the request submitted by Mrs. Lujan and took
action recommending to the Mayor and Common Council that demolition
grant assistance estimated at $3,000.00 be approved for demolition
of the structure identified above.
I recommend adoption of the form motion.
