Synopsis of Previous Council action:
Approved similar requests for travel to National and Regional meetings and confer-
ences pertaining to fire protection and fire preventioin.
Recommen1ed motion:
That Deputy Chief Richard A. Moon, Fire Department, be authorized to
attend the joint meeting (Arizona, California & Nevada) of the Southern
Area Fire Equipment Research (SAFER) organization, April 14 through
April 16, 1988, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

STAFF REPORT
Deputy Fire Chief Richard A. Moon is requesting authorization of
out-of-state travel to Las Vegas, Nevada, from April 14 through April
16, 1988. In the past, the Council has approved similar requests for
travel to National and Regional meetings and conferences pertaining
to fire protection and fire prevention.
It is recommended that authorization be given to Deputy Chief Moon to
attend the joint meeting (Arizona, California and Nevada) of the Southern
Area Fire Equipment Research (SAFER) organization. Deputy Chief Moon
is a member of the Board of the Southern California group.
Funding for travel is included in the 001-201-53315, Training account.
Estimated funding requirement is $200.
