Synopsis of Previous Council action:
5-13-85
Resolution No. 85-167, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council,
found that the public interest, convenience and necessity required
the formation of an improvement district for the construction of
curbs, gutters, paving, driveway approaches, street lights and
a p p urtenant faci 1 i ti es.
3-7-85 --- Resolution No. 85-98, adopted by the r~ayor and Common Council,
declared that all the land included within the boundaries of
said district will be benefited by the construction of said
improvements.
Recommended motion:
Adopt the Resolution.

STAFF REPORT
As required by the provisions of Chapter 12.90 of the Municipal Code and
Resolutions No. 85-98 and 85-167, which established the District, the annual
assessment roll relative to Assessment District No. 965 (Lassen Street
Improvement District) has been prepared and is attached to the Resolution.
The roll for 1988-89 totals $15,091.04 and is submitted to your Honorable
Body for action as required.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
CONFIRMING THE 1988-89 ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR ASSESSMENT
DISTRICT NO. 965, FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF LASSEN STREET, NORTH
OF BASELINE STREET IN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO.
WHEREAS,
by Resolution No. 85-167, the Mayor and

Common Council found that the public interest, convenience and
necessity required the formation of a street improvement and

construction district; and
WHEREAS, by said Resolution No. 85-167, the Mayor
and Common Council formed an assessment district known as
Assessment District No.
965 for the purpose of
constructing street improvements in the area of Lassen Street
North of Baseline Street pursuant to the provisions of Chapter
12.90 of the San Bernardino City Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS,
by Resolution No.85-98, the Mayor and
Common Council declared that all the land included within the
boundaries of said district will be benefited by the
construction of said street improvements; and
WHEREAS,
said Resolution No. 85-98 declared that
an annual assessment shall be levied on all land within the
district to provide funding for said construction; and
UHEREAS,
an Assessment Roll has been prepared
totalling $15,091.04
which sets forth the individual
assessments to be levied on each of the parcels of land within
Assessment District No. 965 for the fiscal year
1988-89;

1 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON
2 COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
3 SECTION 1. That the Mayor and Common Council do
4 hereby find and determine that the proportionate costs to be
5 levied against the parcels of land within Assessment District
6 No. 965 are co rr e c t 1 y set for tho n Ass e ssm e n t R 01 1 No. 965
7 for the fiscal year 1988-89, designated as Exhibit "A" and
8 attached hereto, and do hereby confirm said assessments.
9 SECTION 2. That the City Clerk is directed to cause
10 a copy of this Resolution to be transmitted to the Office of
11 the Auditor-Controller for the County of San Bernardino with
12 the request that the individual assessments be placed on the
13 subject 1988-89 property tax bi 11 s for coll ecti on together
14 with all other property taxes.
15 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was
16 duly adopted by the r~ayor and Common Council of the City of
17 San Bernardino at a meeting thereof, held on
