Synopsis of Previous Council action:
4-24-87 -- Resolution No. 87-129, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council,
confirmed the Engineer's Report and confirmed the assessments on 20
parcels in various locations in the City for the construction of
a combination of either curbs, gutters, sidewalks and/or paving and
were to be assessed the cost of the improavements over a period of
three years at 7% interest per annum on the unpaid balance.
Recommended motion:
Adopt the Resolution.

RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
THE 1988-89 ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR THE 1984-1
PROJECT UNDER CHAPTER 27 OF THE IMPROVEMENT ACT OF
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 27 of
the Improvement Act of 1911, the ~layor and Common Council of
the City of San Bernardino did on the 17th day of December,
1984, order the construction of certain improvements by
property owners of various properties within the City of San
Bernardino, which construction was to be commenced by February
3, 1985; and
WHEREAS, the said construction was not commenced by
said date and the Director of Public Works/City Engineer
caused said work to be done; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 87-129, the Mayor and
Common Council declared that all of the properties listed in
the Engineer's Report that remained unpaid for five (5) days
from the date of said Resolution would be assessed for the
costs as listed in said Engineer's Report over a period of
three years until the said sums with interest at the rate of
7% per annum on the unpaid balance are paid in full; and
WHEREAS, an Assessment Roll has been prepared
totaling
$10,097.86 which sets forth the individual
assessments to be levied on each of the parcels of land within
Chapter 27 project No. 1984-1 for the fiscal year 1988-89,
including interest.

NOW THEREFORE, THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor and Common Council do
hereby find and determine that the costs to be levied against
the parcels of land within Chapter 27 project No. 1984-1 for
the fiscal year 1988-89, designated as Exhibit "A" and
incorporated herein by reference, are correctly set forth and
do hereby confirm said assessment.
SECTION 2. That pursuant to Section 5893 of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, the City
Clerk is directed to cause a copy of this Resolution and a
list of the unpaid assessments for 1988-89 including
interest, to be transmitted to the Office of the Auditor-
Controller for the County of San Bernardino with the request
that the individual assessments be placed on the subject
property tax bills for collection together with all other
property taxes.
