EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM - The Committee recommended ac- ceptance of "The Counseling Team" proposal and further recommended ~/ that since the program would be used by RDA and the Water Department, " one-third of the cost be absorbed by each entity. /J;tJ), vrv'~C/" _J~(]' 2. RDA DEPUTY DIRECTOR POSITION - The Committee recommended ap- proval with changes recommended by the RDA Committee. The proposal ~ for the Deputy Director to serve at the pleasure of the Director was approved with the understanding that a proper appeal process for thef Deputy will be in place. The salary will remain the same as adver- tised. The interview and selection process is to be made from the approximate 50 applications that have been received. 3. REVIEW OF PRE-EMPLOYMENT PHYSICAL EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS The Committee recommended continuation of the program after reviewing y'/ and discussing information provided by staff indicating the value of the program. 4. CHANGE TO RESOLUTION 6413 - REVISION OF PROCEDURE FOR MERIT i/ INCREASES - Item continued to next Committee Meeting. Meeting adjourned. Councilma Chairman Personnel Committee JR: jv
