Synopsis of Previous Council action:
11-17-86 Resolution No. 86-443 adopted expressing support in the relocation of
the Ventura Gulls, Class "A" Baseball Team, to San Bernardino.
12-13-86 --- Council Ways & Means Committee reviewed proposed lease and directed
the City Engineer to proceed with preparation of the plans for the
Capital Improvements, and recommended CDBG Funds be allocated.
12-22-86 --- Resolution adopted authorizing execution of a lease with the San
Bernardino Spirit Class "A" Baseball Team for use of Fiscalini Field.
Recommended motion:
That the plans for construction of a new underground
electrical system for Fiscalini Field, in accordance with
Plan No. 7155, be approved; and the Director of Public
Works/City Engineer authorized to advertise for bids.

STAFF REPORT
Plans for this improvement have been prepared by the Engineering
Division and the project is ready to be advertised for bids.
The project comprises the first phase of a totally new lighting
system, and consists, in general, of installing new underground conduit and
conductors. Circuits will be provided for the baseball field lights, new
scoreboard and police pistol range.
Listed below is an estimate of the total project cost:
Construction Contract $ 56,000
Engineering & Inspection (W.O. #1787) 9,000
Sub-Total $ 65,000
Contingencies (15%) i $ 10,000
TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 75,000
Funds to finance these improvements are to be provided from
CDBG Funds.
This improvement must be completed prior to the first home game
on 4-10-86. We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization granted
to advertise for bids.
