STAFF REPORT
BID SPEC: F-87-13
The proposed purchase is for Raised Access Flooring, Police and Fire Dispatch. At
the request of the Public Buildings Department, an appropriate bid package was pre-
pared that included a mandatory job walk schedule by all participating vendors. This
job walk served as discovery because the City had no specification awareness on access
flooring. All necessary information needed was forthcoming during the job walk and
all questions were resolved at that time. The job walk furnished a full understanding
to both vendors and City on this project. The bid package was furnished to area
suppliers. The following is a summary of bids received.

Specifications as bid have been reviewed with the Superintendent of Public Buildings
who concurs that the bid of Tate Access Flooring meets specifications and requirements.
It is therefore recommended that the bid be accepted for contract. Funding is in the
1986 budget for Police/Fire Dispatch Redesign.

2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A BID
TO TATE ACCESS FLOORING FOR THE FURNISHING AND INSTALLATION OF
3 RAISED ACCESS FLOORING TO BE UTILIZED BY THE PUBLIC BUILDINGS
DEPARTMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH BID SPECIFICATION F-87-13.

5 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

7 SECTION 1. Tate Access Flooring is the lowest and best
8 bidder for the furnishing and installation of raised access
9 flooring for POlice/Fire Dispatch Redesign in accordance with
10 Bid Specification F-87-13 for the total amount of $16,060.00;
11 pursuant to this determination, the Purchasing Agent is hereby
12 authorized to issue a purchase order for said Raised Access
13 Flooring to said lowest and best bidder; such award shall only
14 be effective upon the issuance of a purchase order by the
15 Purchasing Agent; and all other bids therefor are hereby
16 rej ected.
