RE: Undergrounding Utilities -- Arrowhead Avenue and Huff Street
Dear Mr. Day:
The Council Legislative Review Committee considered your request, for a waiver
of the condition of undergrounding utilities, at their meeting of 11-20-86.
Information provided to the Committee by staff indicated that the estimated
cost for undergrounding the entire section, from Central Avenue to Mill
Street, is $51 per foot. Applying this unit cost to the Arrowhead Avenue
and Huff Street frontages results in an amount of about $35,000.
The Committee indicated their willingness to recommend to the Mayor and Council
that a payment of $35,000 be accepted as satisfaction of the condition for
undergrounding. This payment would need to be made prior to recordation of
the pa rce 1 map.
Please advise if this settlement is acceptable. If your concurrence is
received in time, it could be approved at the next meeting of the Mayor and
Council on 12~08-86. In the event it is not acceptable, the issue will be
considered again at the next meeting of the Legislative Review Committee on
12-11-86.
Very truly yours,
ROGER G. HARDGRAVE
