On December 2, 1985, the Mayor and Common Council approved an agreement for housing consultant services in an amount not to exceed $25,000 (plus expenses). On November 17, 1986, the Mayor and Common Council approved the extension of agreement for housing consultant services from December 2, 1986 to March 31, 1987, by Form Motion. Trauth, housing consultant, has an agreement with the City of San Bernardino that provides for $25,000 in hourly services at $45,00 per hour, or a total of 555.5 hours for the contract year which ends December 1, 1986. Expenses are billed in addition to cost, At an average of forty-six (46) hours per month, total hours to date should have been 461 as of the end of October, Estimating thirty-six (36) hours for October, Mr. Trauth will have charged the City for a total of 374 hours which is eighty-seven under budget, leaving a total of 181.5 hours remaining as of November 1, 1986. At approximately the same rate of hours per month, staff estimates that the existing agreement could be extended to cover the period from November 1, 1986 through March 31, 1987. Mr. Trauth would be agreeable to an extension of the current agreement for four (4) additional months (December 2, 1986 through March 31, 1987) under the same terms and condi- tions as are stipulated in the present agreement. Such an extension would require no additional funding. On November 17, 1986, the Mayor and Common Council approved the extension of an agreement between the City and John R. Trauth for housing consultant services, upon staff's advice that the said extension would require no additional funding by the City. Staff recommends adoption of the attached resolution . RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE EXECUTION OF A FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH JOHN R. TRAUTH FOR CONSULTING SERVICES (HOUSING). BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of said City a First Amendment to Agreement with John R. Trauth for Consulting Services, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit nAn and incorporated herein by this reference as though '-, fully set forth at length. .. ! { ? TRAUTH FOR CONSULTING SERVICES (HOUSING) THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT is entered into by and between the CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, a municipal corporation, referred to as .City., and JOHN R. TRAUTH, an individual, referred to as .Consultant,. and amends that agreement between the parties approved by Resolution No. 84-553 of the City of San Bernardino, in the following respects only: 1. The term of the agreement, as specified in Section 7 thereof, is extended through March 31, 1987, with the limitation on compensation contained therein in Section 5 to reaa!n inta~t and unchanged. 2. In all other respects, the agreement between the parties shall continue in full force and effect.
