A study was subsequently completed examining traffic volumes as well as traffic accident history at the intersections. The study indicates that Lincoln Drive is a designated residential street but due to the traffic signals installed at Highland Avenue, the public has been using Lincoln as a collector street. Traffic volumes on Lincoln have increased from 1000 ADT (Average Daily Traffic) in 1985 to 1500 ADT in 1986. There were two accidents reported at the 24th Street intersection during 84 and 85. This request was discussed at the Mayor's Traffic Safety Committee at their October 8, 1986 meeting. Because of the significant increase in traffic volume and the existing stop condition on 23rd Street, the Committee recommends that two-way stop signs be installed at 24th, 25th, and 26th Streets to regulate East-West traffic flow. ,3-0264 27TH ST , I ill Iz 'C: ,0 ! i . >lOP l!l > 25TH 5"'T.
