The Engineering Division submitted application through San Bernardino
Associated Governments (SANBAG) for the SB821 funding for pedestrian and
bicycle facilities. Three projects have been selected. They are listed

RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO APPROVING THE APPLICATION
FOR PEDESTRIAN FUNDS UNDER SB 821 AND APPROVING THE ADOPTION OF THE SELECTED
MISSING LINK SIDEWALK CONSTRUCTION PROJECT.
WHEREAS, SB 821 provides that 2% of each county's total local
Transportation Fund be annually set aside and used to fund the development of
bicycle and pedestrian facilities; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino has planned to complete the
missing link sidewalk construction project on City streets; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino desires to construct the
10 missing link sidewalk projects within their city utilizing the funds available
11 under SB 821.
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF
13 THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. As local participation, the City will match 10% of
15 the total project cost necessary for the preparation of Engineering plans
16 and Specifications for the construction of the selected missing link sidewalks.

SECTION 2. The Director of Public Works/City Engineer will be
18 authorized as the City's authorized signature and designated contact person.

SECTION 3. Application for all funds available to the City of
20 'San Bernardino under the SB 821 allocation for Bikeways and Pedestrian
21 Facilities is hereby authorized.
