Synopsis of Previous Council action:
On November I, 1985, the Council had previously entered into a lease agreement with
Mr. GEORGE AGUILAR for office space at 645 N. Mt. Vernon Avenue, for a Police Com-
munity Service Office. Current lease expires October 31, 1986.
Recommended motion:
That the approval be given to renew a lease agreement under the same terms and
conditions, with Mr. GEORGE AGUILAR, for operation of a Police Community Service
Office at 645 N. Mt. Vernon Avenue.

STAFF REPORT
The Police Department operates a Police Community Service Office at 645 N.
Mt. Vernon Avenue and the lease agreement with the landlord, George Aguilar,
was approved by the Mayor and Council, Resolution #85-450.
This lease agreement expired on October 31, 1986, ~nd renewal of the lease is
requested in order to maintain the San Bernardino Police Department's current
operati on.
Mr. Aguilar has agreed to continue the lease for one (1) year at a rental rate
of $300.00 per month, for a total of $3,600.00 per year.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE EXECUTION OF A SECOND AMENDMENT TO LEASE WITH
GEORGE AGUILAR RELATING TO A ONE-YEAR EXTENSION OF THE TERM OF
THE LEASE FOR PREMISES LOCATED AT 645 NORTH MT. VERNON AVENUE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
6 SECTION 1. The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is
7 hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of said City
8 a Second Amendment to Lease with George Aguilar relating to a
9 one-year extension of the term of the lease for premises located
10 at 645 North Mt. Vernon Avenue, a copy of which is attached
11 hereto as Exhibit RAR and incorporated herein by this reference
12 as though fully set forth at length.

SECOND AMENDMENT TO LEASE
(Police Community Service Office)
THIS SECOND AMENDMENT TO LEASE is made and entered into
effective as of November 1, 1986, by and between GEORGE AGUILAR
(ftLandlord") and the CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO (ftCityft), a municipal
corporation.
Landlord and City agree as follows:
1. Recitals.
A. Landlord and City entered into a lease dated December
15, 1984, effective November 1, 1984, and a First Amendment to
Lease dated November 4, 1985, effective November 1, 1985, for use
of premises located at 645 North Mt. Vernon Avenue as a police
community service office.
B. Landlord and City desire to amend the lease to provide
for a one-year extension of the lease term to and including
October 31, 1987, on the same terms and conditions.
2. Term. The term of the lease is extended from November
1, 1986 through October 31, 1987.
3. Other Provisions. All other terms, conditions and
provisions of the lease shall remain the same and be in full
force and effect.
