STAFF REPORT
In order to provide transportation for the Senior Companions who have no other
means of getting to and from their clients' homes, the van provided by the
City needs to be in service for a minimum of 7! hours each day. At present
the driver's position is funded by the City for only 6 hours per day.
This supplemental grant would enable the program to increase the driver's
time to 7t hours, thereby allowing SCP to serve more of the frail elderly
clients who need the Companions' services.
Service Capability
6 hrs. serve 19 clients and 8 comranions
7t hrs. can serve 29 clients and 11 companions
