SPECIAL MEETING
APRIL 16, 2009
MANAGEMENT INFORMATION CONFERENCE ROOM (MIC)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San
Bernardino have called a special meeting of the Mayor and Common Council for 5
p.m., Thursday, April 16, 2009, in the Management Information Conference Room,
Sixth Floor, City Hall, 300 North "D" Street, San Bernardino, California.
The purpose for which this meeting was called was for a closed session to provide the
Mayor and Common Council an opportunity to interview candidates for the position of
Police Chief.
The special meeting of the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino
was called to order by Mayor/Chairman Morris at 5:10 p.m., Thursday, April 16,
2009, in the Management Information Conference Room, Sixth Floor, City Hall, 300
North "D" Street, San Bernardino, California.
Roll Call
Present:
Mayor Morris; Council Members Estrada, Baxter, Brinker, Shorett,
Johnson, McCammack; City Attorney Penman, City Manager McNeely,
Deputy City Clerk Hartzel; and Fred Freeman of Freeman Investigative
Group, Inc.
Absent:
Council Member Kelley

Police Chief
The Council members asked identical questions of each candidate, followed by
discussion.
Fred Freeman of Freeman Investigative Group, Inc., provided information to
the Mayor and Council regarding his investigative research of the candidates.
2. Adjournment
At 8:33 p.m. the meeting adjourned. The next JOInt regular meeting is
scheduled for 1:30 p.m., Monday, April 20, 2009.
