1. PROPOSED CAREER LADDER - CITY ATTORNEY'S OFFICE-
The Committee Recommended the full Council review and decide
on this item.
2. RETIRED SENIOR VOLUNTEER PROGRAM COORDINATOR CLASSI-
FICATION & SENIOR COMPANION PROGRAM COORDINATOR CLASSIFICAA-
TION - The Committee recommended approval of the classifica-
tions.
3. DISABILITY PLAN RATES - Item continued. Staff was
requested to research plans and resubmit the options to the
Committee.
4. DEPENDENT SPOUSE COVERAGE - DECEASED RETIREE - Item
continued for further study.
5. DATA PROCESSING POSITION - The Committee recommended
approval.
6. TITLE CHANGE - CE TECH TO CE ASST. - The Committee
recommended approval.

SECTION 2. A "career ladder" concept is approved for the
16 Office of the City Attorney. The number of deputies shall not
17 exceed those authorized and approved by the Mayor and Common
18 Council. An advancement to a higher Deputy City Attorney position
19 in the "career ladder" shall require the approval of the Mayor and
20 Common Council and shall be reviewed by the Personnel Committee
21 prior to presentation to the Mayor and Common Council.

STAFF REPORT
The splitting of the temporary/part-time class of Volunteer
Services Coordinator was reviewed and approved by the Council
Personnel Committee at their meeting on February 27, 1986.
The two new temporary/part-time positions which would be
created are:
Retired Senior Volunteer Program Coordinator, $9.24/hr.
Senior Companion Program Coordinator, $10.08/hr.
These classes are in the Parks, Recreation and Community
Services Department and are funded by a federal grant
(ACTION) .
