STAFF REPORT
Negotiations have been completed for the acquisition of 2.03
more or less acres of land owned by the City of Riverside.
The property is located at the northwest corner of the
Wastewater Treatment Plant property. The property was a well
site for the City of Riverside but the well has been aban-
doned and capped.
The acquisition of this parcel is necessary for the future
construction of facilities on the plant site. The site will
be used as the construction contractor's materials storage
area during the Solids Handling Improvement Project.
The Board of Water Commissioners authorized acquisition of
the. property, and submittal of the Grant Deed to the. Mayor
and Common Council for acceptance and dedication for Water
Department use at their regular meeting held on February 18,
1986.

A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, ACCEPTING A GRANT DEED
FROM THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, AND
DEDICATING SAID PROPERTY TO WATER DEFARTMENT USES.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City
of San Bernardino as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City of San Bernardino does hereby
accept a Grant Deed from the City of Riverside, a municipal
corporation, for the following real property:
That portion of Lot 23 in Block 54 of Rancho San Bernar-

dino, recorded in Book 7, Page 2 of Maps, records of said
San Bernardino County, described as follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of said Lot 23;

AREA - 2.03 more or less acres.
RESERVING unto the City of Riverside all underground water
rights below the elevation of 970 feet U.S.G.S. Datum, and the
right to take and put to beneficial use. of the water herein
accepted and reserved; however, the City of Riverside shall have
no right to drill wells on said land.
ALSO RESERVING unto the City of Riverside an easement for
pipelines and waterline facilities and also an easement for
ingress and egress, over the northerly 25 feet and the easterly
25 feet of the property being granted; said easements are for
the purpose of access and constructing pipelines to adjoining
lands wherein grantor, the City of Riverside, has water well
drilling rights.
Acquisition of said property and the
Grant Deed are necessary to secure property
Treatment Plant for future construction.
SECTION 2. That a copy of said Grant Deed is attached
hereto, marked Exhibit "A", and made a part hereof as fully as
though set forth at length herein.
SECTION 3. That all property affected by this transaction
will be dedicated for Water Department use.
BE IF FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be
attached to said Grant Deed, and that the same be recorded in
the Office of the County Recorder of San Bernardino County.
