BID SPEC: F-85-47
The proposed purchase is for One New 12 Cubic Yard Dump Truck for use in daily operations
by the Public Services Department.
At the request of the department, coord ina ted wi th the Equi pment Superi ntendent, approp-
riate specifications were prepared, published and furnished to area equipment suppliers.
The bid summary is as follows.

Specifications as bid have been reviewed with the Equipment Superintendent, he concurs
that the initial bid of Dieterich International does not meet the specifications in (3)
areas, namely (1) transmission, (2) batteries and (3) they took exception to the liqui-
dated damages.
It is therefore recommended that the bid of Dieterich International be rejected and the
bid of Inland Kenworth Inc. which met all specifications at the bid price of $78,970.0D
be accepted for contract.

RESOLUTI ON NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A BID TO INLAND
KENWORTH. INC. FOR THE FURNISHING AND DELIVERY OF ONE NEW 12 CUBIC YARD
DUMP TRUCK IN ACCORDANCE WITH BID SPECIFICATION F-85-47.
BE IT RSSOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The bid of Dieterich International, for One, International
Model F2574 Truck at $75.260.00 is hereby rejected as not meeting specifi-
cations in 3 separate areas.
SECTION 2. Inland Kenworth, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder for
the furnishing and delivery of One, Kenworth Model W900 Truck in accordance
with Bid Specification F-85-47 for the total amount of $78,970.00; pursuant
to this determination, the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized and directed
to issue a purchase order for said Twelve Cubic Yard Dump Truck to said low-
est responsible bidder; such award shall only be effective upon the issuance
of a purchase order by the Purchasing Agent; and all other bids therefor
are hereby rejected.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the
Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a
meeting thereof, held on the
