STAFF REPORT
BID SPEC: F-86-2
The proposed purchase is for One New 16" Brush Chipper, for utilization by Public Ser-
vices/Street Trees Department. At the request of the department and in coordination
with the Equipment Superintendent, technical specifications were prepared, published
and furnished to appropriate vendors in the area. Bids were publicly opened and
declared on January 22, 1986. The following is a summary of bids received.

All bids have been reviewed the the Equipment Superintendent who concurs that the bid of
Riverside Tractors, Inc. does not meet specifications, the spray system water tank and
the engine offered are not as specified, and recommends the bid be rejected.
The bid of J.L. Enterprises ($14,982.04) meets all specifications, it is therefore
recommended that the bid be accepted and the Purchasing Agent be authorized to issue
a purchase order for said equipment.

RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A BID TO J.L.
ENTERPRISES FOR THE FURNISHING AND DELIVERY OF ONE NEW 16" BRUSH CHIPPER
IN ACCORDANCE WITH BID SPECIFICATION F-86-2.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BER-
NARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The bid of Riverside Tractors. Inc.. for One. Lindig Model
XR-16 at $14,628.00 is hereby rejected as not meeting specifications in two
separate areas.
SECTION 2. J.L. ENTERPRISES is the lowest responsible bidder for the
-furnishing and delivery of One, Asplundh '.lodel JFY D-16 in accordance with
Bid Specification F-86-2 for the total amount of $14,982.04; pursuant to this
determination, the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized and directed to issue
a purchase order for siid 16" Brush Chipper to said lowest responsible bidder;
such award shall only be effective upon the issuance of a purchase order by the
15 Purchasing Agent; and all other bids therefor are hereby rejected.
16 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the
