Recommen<led motion:
Expenditure of $7,015 authorized for widening approximately 150 feet
of Arrowhead Avenue (west side), south of Highland Avenue.
Plans approved and authorization granted to advertise for bids.
The bid received on 9-3-85, in the amount of $88,604.00 rejected, and
authorization granted to re-advertise for bids.
Supplemental funding in the amount of $15,000 approved to finance cost
of extending widening on Arrowhead Avenue to include Post Office
frontage.
RES. No. 85-435 adopted awarding a contract to Red1ands Paving and
reduci ng the tota 1 amount of the low bi d by Change Order No. One from
$79,105.42 to $71,995.00, and approvin9 the transfer of $15,000 in
sUDo1emental fundln9
That the work performed by the Contractor, in accordance with
Specification No's 6759, 6749, 6120, 6586 and 6648, be approved
and accepted; and that final payment be authorized at the expira-
tion of the lien period.

STAFF REPORT
All work under this contract was satisfactorily completed as of
2-04-86.
The contract was awarded for the low bid price of $71,995.80. The
actual final contract price is $74,357.76, due to an increase in the final
quantity of asphalt concrete from the estimated quantity in the bid documents.
We recommend that the work be approved and accepted and that final
payment be authorized.
