STAFF REPORT
This is the time and place set for the hearing of protests on the
assessment roll for the improvement of Orange Show Lane between "E"
Street and Arrowhead Avenue and "E" Street between Orange Show Lane and a
point approximately 400 feet North thereof by the construction of curbs,
gutters, sidewalks, paving, drainage facilities and street lighting
facilities as shown on Plan No. 6502 and as contemplated by Resolution
of Intention No. 85-53 adopted February 4, 1985 and ehange Orders
approved August 19, 1985, November 18, 1985 and January 6, 1986.
All the property owners involved were notified of this hearing by a
Notice mailed January 30, 1986.
This is the final step in the formal proceedings for this project and all
that is necessary is that the hearing be opened, hear any appeals and
close the hearing, then adopt the Resolution. (4/5ths roll call vote
required)

5 WHEREAS, The Hayor and eommon eouncil of the City of San Bernardino on
6 February 4, 1985, adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 85-53, to ord.eL..._
7 the work described therein to be done under the provisions of the Municipal
8 Improvement Act of 1911; and
9 WHEREAS, Pursuant to said Resolution of Intention No 85-53, a hearing
10 was set for March 4, 1985, at which time and place written objections and
11 protests to the proposed improvement, the extend of the district, or to th~
12 assessment district itself were heard and considered and overruled; and

WH(REAS, The construction has been completed and construction costs

14 have been incarr~d of $243,088.98, with incidental expenses of $32,794.72,
,
15 totalling $275,883.ib., which total construction costs are hereby approved.
16 The spread of these total construction costs by individual parcels is
17 established herein on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein
18 by reference, which sets forth the individual assessments to be levied on
19 each of the parcels of land within Assessment District No. 960 and as shown'
20 on said assessment diagram map to meet said total construction costs,
21 NOW THEREFORE, THE MAYOR AND eor,n'10N eOUNeIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
22 BERNARDINO DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
23 SEeTION 1. That the Mayor and Common Council do hereby find and deter-
24 mine that the proportionate costs to be levied against the parcels of land
~5 within Assessment District No. 960 for the improvement of portions of
26 Orange Show Lane between "E" Street and A.rrowhead Avenue and in portion$ of
