The firm serves as the City's Employee Benefit Consultant which monitors the self-funded medical and hospitalization and life insurance program administration. This firm has served very competently in this capacity during the past year. The Wyatt Company was extremely efficient during the City's recent changeover of its Health and Life Insurance companies. The analysis of insurance companies bid proposals, as well as preparing and summarizing employee benefit surveys, enabled the City's health insurance committee to select the new company to act as the administrator of the City's self-funded health program and carrier of the life insurance program in a timely manner. Renewal of the Wyatt Company agreement for an additional year will enable the company to continue to monitor the new programs and to conduct the extremely crit- ical first year analysis. The contract maximum of $14,800 remains the same and the ongoing cost-for-services is not expected to exceed $10,000 for the year. The additional $4,800 would be available for special projects. 7<:._n?';A . 1 RESOLUTION NO. _________~_ 2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING THE 3 EXECUTION OF A FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH THE WYATT COMPA~Y, RELATING TO AN EXTENSION OF THE AGREEMENT FOR 4 CONSULTING SERVICES ON THE CITY'S INSURANCE AND BENEFIT PROGRA~IS . 5 BE l'l' RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE 6 CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: 7 SECTION 1.
