STAFF REPORT
BID SPEC: F-85-41
The proposed contract is for re-roofing the Delman Heights Recreation Center at
2968 Flores Street.
At the request of the Public Building Department appropriate specifications were pre-
pared, published and furnished to area contractors. Bids were publicly opened and
declared on November 27, 1985.
The following is a summary of bids received.

The reasons for not bidding offered by other vendors are as follows:
1. Morrision & Hope, Inc. - "Forgot and failed to put bid together please keep us on
your bid list."
2. DTK Company - "Bid package was misplaced. Didn't find it until bid date had passed."
3. Muller Roofing Co. - "We do not do commercial roofing."
Specifications as bid have been reviewed with Wayne Overstreet, Superintendent of Public
Buildings and concur that the bid of Bell Roofing Company be accepted for contract. The
funding of $19,258. is in the 1985/86 budget.

4 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ~~YOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARINO AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. The Bell Roof Company is the lowest responsible bidder

for r~-roofing Delman Heights Recreation Center in atcordance with Bid
Specification F-85-41 for the total amount of $12,375.00; pursuant to

this determination, the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized and directed

to issue a purchase order for said rc-roofing of Delman Heights Recreation

Center to said lowest responsible bidder; such award shall only be effective
11
upon the issuance of a purchase order by the Purchasing Agent; and all other
12
bids therefor are hereby rejected.
