The attached resolutions would formalize those approvals. Recommended motion: That the Mayor and Council approve the attached resolutions requested by the City Attorney's Office in order to formally adopt the eleven respective General Plan Amendments. ~ Signature Frank A. RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO APPROVING THE NEGATIVE DECLARATION AS TO ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT AND ADOPTING AMENDMENT NO. 41 TO THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO (GENERAL PLAN LAND USE ELEMENT). BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: . SECTI ON 1. Recitals. (a) The General Plan Land Use Element for the City of San Bernardino was adopted by the Mayor and Common Council by Resolution No. 7336 on August 17,1964. (b) Amendment No. 41 to the General Plan of the City of San Bernardino was approved by the Planning Commission of the City of San Bernardino on March 3, 1982, after a legally advertised public hearing. (c) A negative declaration issued by the Environmental Review "---- -~ ~ Committee of the City, complete within an initial study relating to Amendment No. 41 and all comments relative thereto have been reviewed and approved by the Planning Commission and the Mayor and Common Counci 1 in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act and local regulations. (d) The Mayor and Common Council reivewed and considered proposed Amendment No. 41 on March 23, 1982. (e) The adoption of Amendment No. 41 is deemed in the interest of the orderly development of the City and is consistent with the goals and objec- tives of the existing General Plan. . SECTION 2. Neqative Declaration. The Mayor and Common Council hereby find and declare that the proposed amendment to the General Plan of the City of San Bernardino will have no significant effect on the environment, and the negative declaration heretofore adopted by the Environmental Review Committee as to the effect of this proposed amendment is hereby ratified, affirmed and adopted. ~o, r \..j 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 , '-' '-" SECTI ON 3. Amendment. The land Use Element of the General Plan of the City of San Bernardino is amended by changing the irregularly-shaped parcels of land consisting of approximately 80 acres generally located north of Sixth Street, south of the Warm Creek Flood Control Channel, east of Fairfax lane and west of Del Rosa Drive, as outlined on the map entitled Exhi bi t "A", a copy of whi ch is attached hereto and incorporated herei n by reference, from Medium-low Density Residential (4-7 units per acre) to Medium Density Residential (8-14 units per acre). This amendment is designated as General Plan Amendment No. 41. SECTION 4. Map Notati on. This resolution and the amendment effected by it shall be noted on such appropriate maps as have been adopted and approved by the Mayor and Common Council.
