These recommendations. which basicly entail extensive no parking zones and tree removal. were discussed at the 9-18-85 Mayor's Traffic Safety Committee meeting. The Traffic Safety Committee members decided to further review the Caltrans tree removal proposal at their next meeting. but recommends that the Mayor and City Council establish No Parking zones. approximately 125 feet in distance. on both sides of "E" Street, north of 36th Street. OF SAN BERNARDO - - ~ - REQUQT FOR COUNCIL Ac.:,)ON STAFF REPORT The Engineering Division received a request from Caltrans to consider establishing parking res'trictions at the Vista Lookout, on Waterman Avenue (State Route 18). known as "Inspiration Point". Caltrans indicated that the location has been abused by people, mostly by teenagers "partying" at night, and has resulted in daily clean-up maintenance for Caltrans. Lt. Myer, of San Bernardino Police Department, also indicated that associated alcohol and drug problems are frequently experienced at this location. This matter was discussed at the 9/18/85 Mayor's Traffic Safety Committee meeting. and it is recommended that No Parking between 9 P.M. and 6 A.M. be established at this location. 2 75.0264 f \ /' '-' "<,,.J 1 RESOLUTION NO. 2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 3985 ENTITLED IN PART nA RESOLUTION . . . PROHIBITING PARKING 3 UPON CERTAIN DESIGNATED STREETS OR PORTIONS THEREOF. . .n; AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION OF NO PARKING ZONES ON BOTH SIDES OF 4 "E" STREET, NORTH OF 36TH STREET, AND ON WATERMAN AVENUE (VISTA LOOKOUT) BETWEEN 9:00 P.M. and 6:00 A.M. 5 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 6 SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: 7 SECTION 1. Resolution No. 3985, which prohibits parking upon I 8 certain designated streets or portions thereof, Section One 9 Subsection (9) "E" STREET is amended by adding thereto paragraph 10 (u) to read: 11 DIu) Between Thirty-sixth Street and a point 125 feet 12 north." 13 SECTION 2.
