Synopsis of Previous Council action:
10-6-87
The City Clerk and City Engineer were authorized to proceed to initiate
proceedings for the formation of an Assessment District for this area
under the provisions of the 1913/15 Act.
Recommended motion:
That a finding of need for health and safety reasons, for the improvement of portions of
Industrial Parkway, Easterly of Palm Avenue in the City of San Bernardino be made.

STAFF REPORT
Letters of petition have been received by this office for the installation of
curbs, gutters, paving and street lights in portions of Industrial Parkway,
Southeasterly of Palm Avenue in the City of San Bernardino.
This portion of Industrial Parkway is presently paved, however it is a narrow
strip of pavement and for the industrial purposes of the area, it is unsafe and
needs to be improved to its ul ti mate wi dth. The flow of tra ffi c through the area
generally involves large trucks and the present pavement is not wide enough to
provide the proper movement thereof.
The developer will be required to up-front the cost of the proceedings, Bond
Counsel and Financial Counsultant fees for establishment of the district
which will be returned to him when the Bonds are sold.
