Dear Ladies and Gentlemen:
On behalf of the Project Area Committee (PAC), the officers of
the Committee requests to be placed in the next regularly
scheduled meeting and agenda of the City Council.
The purpose of this request is to ask support of the Mayor and
City Council, per a "Memorandum of Understanding" in providing
the Committee Planning services by the Planning Department.
Recently, the Committee met with the City's Redevelopment COmMit-
tee requesting a $20,000 allocation of :':un(lil'; .to [,roviCie::he
Committee independent planning services. The ,i.eL:eveloplolent
Committee rejected this request. The committee, however, approved
alternative planning services to be provided by the City's
Planning Department.
The Project Area Committee requests that these Planni~ervices
to be provided by the Planning Department be spelled out in
a "Memorandum of Understanding" so that the City, Redevelopment
Agency and the committee know exactly how, when and by which
Planning Department staff person will provide these services.
Since the members of the Committee work during the day, we addi-
tionally request that this item be placed during the evening so
that we can be present to give a verbal presentation on this very
important service to be provided by the city.
