STAFF REPORT
Federal-Aid Urban Funds have been designated by SAN BAG
for the modification of traffic signals on Baseline Street, from
"H" Street to Sierra Way. The modifications will consist of re-
placing the existing inoperative controllers and thereby restore
traffic progression.
The total estimated cost of $150,000 will be financed
from Federal-Aid Urban Funds.
Execution of Program Supplement No. 46 will serve to
obligate the Federal-Aid Urban Funds for this project,
We recommend that Program Supplement No. 46 be approved.

SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF PROGRAM SUPPLEMENT NO.
3 46 TO LOCAL AGENCY-STATE AGREEMENT FOR FEDERAL-AID PROJECTS NO.
8-5033 BETWEEN SAID CITY AND THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, ACTING BY
4 AND THROUGH ITS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION.
5 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1.
The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is
hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of said City
8
9 Program Supplement No. 46 to Local Agency-State Agreement for
10 Federal-Aid Projects No. 8-5033 to authorize certain safety
improvements, between said City and the State of California,
11
12 acting by and through its Department of Transportation, a copy
of which is attached hereto marked Exhibit "A" and incorporated
13
herein by reference as fully as though set forth at length herein.

This Program Supplement is hereby incorporated into the Local Agency-State Agreement

1. All maintenance, involving the physical condition and the
operation of the improvements, referred to in Article VI
MAINTENANCE of the aforementioned Master Agreement will be
performed by the Local Agency at regular intervals or as
required for efficient operation of the completed improvements.
2. In executing this Program Supplemental Agreement the Local
Agency hereby reaffirms the .Nondiscrimination Assurances.
contained in the aforementioned Master Agreement for
Federal-Aid Programs.
3. The Local Agency will advertise, award, and administer this
project and will obtain the State's concurrence prior to
either award or rejection of the contract.
4. The Local Agency agrees the payment of Federal funds will
be limited to the Detail Estimate amounts approved by the
Federal Highway Administration in the Federal-Aid Project
~greement (PR-21, or its modification (PR-2AI, and accepts
any increases in Exchange Funds, State Matching Funds, and/or
Local Agency Funds as shown on the Finance or Bid Letter or
its modification as prepared by the Division of Local Streets
and Roads.
5. The Local Agency I,ill reimburse the State for their share of costs for
