Synopsis of Previous Council action:
10-23-85 --- Authorization granted to prepare plans and specifications,
with costs financed from $12,500 payment by developer.
June, 1987 - Allocation of $89,400, of Federal-Aid Urban Funds,
approved in 1987/88 Street Construction Fund Budget,
Recommended motion:
That a finding be made that the installation of
traffic signals at Mill Street and "G" Street, in
accordance with Plan No, 7257, is needed for health
and safety reasons.

CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO - REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
The traffic study for the adjoining SIMA development found
that traffic signals were needed at this intersection. One of
their conditions of approval was that payment of $12,500 be made
as their contribution, These funds were .used to finance the costs
for preparation of plans and specifications.
Installation of traffic signals at this intersection will
promote the safe movement of traffic by assigning right of way to
approaching vehicles. Established traffic signal warrants are
satisfied by the traffic through this intersection.
We recommend that a finding be made that the installation
of traffic signals is needed for health and safety reasons.
