Subject: Request for Joint Workshop of Mayor and Council and
Planning Commission - Mapping Session
Mayor and Council Meeting of November 2, 1987
In order to facilitate timely review of the three land use alterna-
tives when they are ready for review by the Planning Commission and
Mayor and Common council in March, 1988, the project manager from
Envicom, Woody Tescher, has suggested that the Planning commission
and Mayor and Common council have a joint workshop in the next month
to "map" areas of concern and opportunities in the City.
This would be the same exercise that the Citizen Advisory Committee
(CAC) participated in on October 12, 1987. The CAC found it to be
a very informative session for them and critical to the consultants.
I believe it would be a very worthwhile use of the Mayor and Council's
time and suggest that this workshop be scheduled for Monday,
November 16, 1987, at 4:00 p.m.
