A subdivision has been approved by the City of Rialto for the parcel to the north of Tract No. 8969. Lot "A" will have to be dedicated, in order for Lamarr Street to be extended into this new tract in the City of Rialto. Extension of Lamarr Street is needed to provide adequate traffic circulation, emergency access and drainage, for residents in the area. We recommend that a finding be made that the acceptance of Lot "A" is needed for health and safety reasons. 10-19-87 15-0264 (]TY OF SAN BER~~ARDINO - MEMORANDUW"''''' ",/ RAY SCHWEITZER To City Admi ni strator Impact from Extension Tract 9949 in City of r:EC'O.-ADH/N OF'" . I' of Lin\iUl2TS&leet Ii~-' : Ria 1 to" " , , From ROGER HARDGRAVE, Dir. of Public Works/City Engr, October 21, 1987 File No. TR 8969 Subject Date Approved Date An item was on the Council agenda of 10-19-87, for approval in principle in accepting Lot "A," a I-foot strip at the terminus of Lamarr Street, as street and highway right-of-way. The Mayor and Council requested a report on the impact of the extension of Lamarr Street by'development of Tract 9949 in the City of Rialto. A copy of the tentative map is attached for reference. As shown on this map, Lamarr Street will be extended to the north a distance of about 660 feet. There is another lot of about the same size to the north of Tract 9949. Lamarr Street will be extended by development of this parcel to Etiwanda Avenue, or possibly Pepper Avenue. There are 11 lots in Tract 9949 that will front on Lamarr Street. These lots will generate about 110 trips per day. It is diffi- cult to predict the amount of increased traffic on Lamarr Street within Tract 8969. However, it is evident that the traffic will be well within the normal range for a residential street. Storm water from Tract 9949 is proposed to be conveyed in Lamarr Street. This will increase the quantity of storm water drained within Tract 8969, but not in excess of the carrying capacity of the street. Extension of Lamarr Street through Tract 9949, and the parcel to the north, will improve general traffic circulation and emergency response. However, there will be some increase in traffic and storm water. ld like any additional information. WorkslCity Engineer RGH:rs Attach. .-; ( t .t6:~~ "J )t' -.
