Recommended motion:
That the request from the Messiah Lutheran Church,
1414 Palm Avenue, for permission to install a sign
in the street right-of-way, be approved; and the City
Attorney directed to prepare the necessary License
Agreement to authorize the encroachment.

STAFF REPORT
A request was received from the Messiah Lutheran Church,
1414 Palm Avenue, for permission to install an identification
sign within the street right-of-way. This request was prompted
by the fact that the street in front of the church has been
widened to its planned ultimate width of 36-feet of pavement and
50 feet right-of-way from centerline, Since the adjoining street
sections have not been widened, the visibility of a sign behind
the right-of-way line would be severely limited.
Sidewalk has not been installed in front of the church.
The requested location of the sign is 5 feet from the curb,

applicant will remove the encroachment at their expense upon
receipt of a notice from the City that the rtght-of-~ay is needed
