By selecting vehicles and/or equipment that is in n.nsOllahly goo" cO!ldition and doing no more in some cases than expending elbow gl'ease and minor detail ing a higher price for surplus equipment can be obtained. 3. In some cases a small investment for maximum effect (no 1I1'JI'e than 2U% of the expected return on the vehicle) can be used to insu,'e movillll the vehicle at top dollar. 4. A vehicle bid form (see attached) will be avai lable at the f'lll'chasing office. The prospective bidder acquires the form, fills out and submits to Purchasing for time stamping and deposit into bid box. 6. The following day bids are awarded (if satisfactorily mpptinq minimum price or greater) and bidder notified. 7. Not all vehicles will lend themselves to this program, hilt till' OllPS that do (a considerable number) \~illassist in serving the General Fllnd which inturn can partialy support other needed equipment. 8.
